Being an author is a very prestigious occupation. You use all of your imagination to create intricate stories with developing characters and plot twists and turns. You work with literary items such as foreshadowing, irony, and metaphors. Your job is a tough one. Most authors have agents and publishing companies breathing down their necks to hurry up and get the next chapter done. Hurry up and finish the book. I think sometimes that is exactly how we treat God.
The Bible refers to God as an author many times. He is the beginning and the end, the author and finisher of our faith. He is publishing the story of our lives while intricately weaving our story with His story. It’s amazing to think that our lives have been intricately thought out and planned by a God who is so big. Just the thought of it makes me feel really small. We are a part of a story that is much larger than we are. We are a small part of an eternity-wide story. The thought that God never had a beginning and God never has an end blows my mind. He is infinite; we are not. He is forever; we only have eternal life through Him.
While it is amazing to know that God is so big, it’s so awesome to know that He still knows each one of us and loves us. He has a separate story for each of us to fulfill. No story will be the same. No life will be a duplicate. There are over 6 billion people alive today and none of us have the same story. God has a plan for all 6 billion of us. He is writing your story right this moment.
It’s like a great novel; I just wonder what is going to happen next. I am excited about this journey with God. I am glad that God has an amazing plan for me above what I could ever write for myself. I will learn to trust Him more and more everyday.
It reminds me of a great song…
'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus
Verse 1
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know “Thus saith the Lord!”
Refrain
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
Verse 2
O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!
Verse 3
Yes ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.
Verse 4
I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

Many thanks. How did you find my blog?
I was flipping through blogs randomly... i just ended up there and your blog made me laugh!!!
I just finished reading "i am not but i know I AM" by Louie Giglio. Throughout the book he explains how God is the star in this story (God-glorifying eternity) and how we are to give up our starring roles in the small stories (self-glorifying life) to take on small roles in God's enormous story. It's amazing that God has allowed such little people into a relationship with Himself, the great and mighty Creator. It's exciting that He knows each person's life story before they even begin it. I'm in awe that God would take time to plan out our lives and seek relationships with us--selfish, sinful humans.
It is a big deal to trust in someone, but to trust in God should be so simple, after all He already knows what is going to happen, and He, who loves us unconditionally, is the one is determines what happens in our lives. Thanks for sharing, Crance! You're awesome!
I like that song.. God Bless / I found your blog from Steve's page..
